A fresh website.

Start with your website.

You need a claimed Goodword API website with completed payment or an accepted full-discount claim, access to its private claim page, and an AI app that supports remote MCP connections with OAuth. Your AI app’s plan and connection features determine availability.

1. Set your six-digit PIN.

   Open the private claim page for your website. Under AI access, set a six-digit PIN. Keep the private access link somewhere safe; it also lets you return to your downloads and change the PIN.

2. Connect Goodword in your AI app.

   In Claude, open Goodword Websites in the connector directory and connect it. For other compatible AI apps, open the remote MCP or connector settings, add the server URL below, and choose OAuth authentication. The same endpoint serves every website.

3. Sign in on Goodword.

   When your app opens the Goodword authorization page, enter your purchase email and PIN there. Review the app and permissions. If more than one website matches, choose the one this connection should manage, then select Allow connection.

4. Start a conversation.

   Select your connected Goodword app in the conversation, then ask your assistant to read your website and explain what it can update. In ChatGPT, use the @ menu to select the connected app. If a follow-up says the website tools are unavailable, select the app again and resend the request. Your downloaded context.txt also contains website-specific connection and editing notes. The AI app manages its connection tokens.

From a small edit
to a whole new page.

The connector edits your hosted static website files. Content rendered by a framework may need edits to its source assets instead of a simple text replacement. Image uploads must use supported file formats and sizes; ask the assistant to check the tool’s current limits.

To avoid overwriting another change, writes require the current website revision. If someone updates the site during your conversation, your assistant must read the latest version before trying again.

Say what you want to do.

Use your own dates, business details, page paths and images. Your assistant needs the relevant read, write or analytics permission to carry out each request.

A useful view
of your visitors.

Ask about page views and approximate unique visitors over a date range, grouped by day, week, month, page, country, region, city or referring website. You can also query the available historical claim and conversion funnel.

• Unique means anonymous browsers. Counts use a first-party browser cookie that lasts a year and renews on visits. Clearing or blocking cookies, or using another browser or device, can count the same person again.
• A period total is deduplicated. Do not add daily or page-level unique counts to estimate total people; one browser may appear in several groups.
• Location is approximate. Goodword looks up the visitor’s IP address in a locally imported DB-IP City Lite database. Location can be inaccurate or unknown, especially with VPNs and shared networks.
• Dates use UTC. Weeks begin on Monday. Ask for explicit date ranges when your business timezone matters.
• History starts when tracking starts. Each result reports trackingSince. Detailed visitor and location history before that date cannot be reconstructed. Older funnel “visits” are 30-minute sessions, a different metric.

Thirteen focused tools.
One authorized website.

The server provides the following tools, subject to your granted permissions. A tool cannot choose a different customer’s website. Reads inspect information; writes change the public site.

OAuth scopes: site:read for website reads, site:write for publishing edits, and analytics:read for analytics. The server uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth authorization code flow with PKCE.

Your call.

Disconnect Goodword in your AI app’s settings to stop using that connection. To invalidate all existing AI connections for a website on Goodword’s side, set a new PIN on its private claim page. This also invalidates previously issued tokens, so apps must sign in again.

Access tokens last up to one hour. Refresh tokens rotate and have a maximum connection lifetime of 30 days; your app will need you to reconnect after expiry. Disconnecting does not remove changes already published, saved website revisions, or information already returned to your AI app.
